We have a new goal! The H.O.P.E. Challenge has far surpassed the original goal of 250. Nebraska Emergency Management Agency is working to get the final tally.
H.O.P.E. Challenge Resources:
- H.O.P.E. Challenge Professional Development Resource List (Updated October 18, 2023): Training ideas, upcoming professional development, and more that can be submitted to the Challenge. Don't let the end of the challenge stop you from strengthening your capacity by gaining knowledge and skills needed to prepare you for an emergency or disaster event.
- Training Submission Form. An online form was used to submit trainings completed during the H.O.P.E. Challenge period - January 1 through October 31, 2023.
- Training Attendance Sign-in Sheet. When you organize a training event in your office or with your department, please have an attendance sign-in sheet. Attendance sheets can easily be uploaded using the online submission form. For trainings that involve certification cards or certificates of completion, attendance sheets will also help expediate those cards/certificates to attendees.
- Bi-weekly email updates are archived, along with shared resources.
The H.O.P.E. Challenge...
- Introduces Nebraska Citizen Corps and the Medical Reserve Corps and Community Emergency Response Team volunteers.
- Promotes training and professional development focused on emergency first aid, disaster preparedness, and disaster behavioral health.
- Increases knowledge, awareness, skills, and action.
- Strengthens confidence and supports resilience at work, home, and in your community.
- Primary focus: Stop the Bleed, CPR/AED/Basic First Aid, Disaster Psychological First Aid
The H.O.P.E. Challenge "Scoreboards" will tally how many people have completed trainings and the number of trainings completed between January 1 - October 31, 2023. (Image right: individuals trained).
