Week 2 - June 2 Email Update: Stop the Bleed Focus

We're off to a great start to the H.O.P.E. Challenge! So far this year we have trained 237 people in disaster and emergency preparedness education and the number is going to keep on going up! We are so close to reaching our first goal of 250 people.

We want to give a special shoutout to Carrie Schneider-Miller and the Douglas-Sarpy County Extension Officefor scheduling a Stop the Bleed course in August. At this training we plan to train 40 people in Stop the Bleed. Way to go, team Douglas-Sarpy!

Do you know how to stop the bleed??? … NO? …Well, what are you waiting for...

Schedule a training today - email josh.yox@nebraska.gov. Invite your office faculty and staff, board members, volunteers like master gardeners, student interns, and adult and youth leaders. Stop the Bleed training is only 1.5 hours in length and there will be plenty of "hands-on" practice. Learn more about Stop the Bleed and who is qualified to be an instructor.

June 15 H.O.P.E. Challenge Office Hours. If you have questions or would like to ask Josh about Citizen Corps, stop in and join us anytime between 1-2 pm CDT / 12-1 pm MDT. (invite sent by email)
