Nebraska Extension and the Nebraska Citizen Corps Program are collaborating to offer the My Youth Preparedness Initiative (MyPI Nebraska) program. This program blends classroom instruction, hands-on learning, and skills assessments. Participants prepare their families and other families, and the goal is increase resilience in Nebraska communities.
MyPI Nebraskas is an innovative disaster preparedness curriculum for teens (ages 13-18). Participants build life-saving skill sets, learn about careers, and develop emergency kits and family communications plans. They also complete a service project called PREP+6.Visit MyPI Nebraska

Nebraska Citizens Corps
The Citizen Corps program promotes community preparedness, outreach, and awareness by partnering with other government sponsored volunteer programs, such as the Community Emergency Response Team, Medical Reserve Corps, Volunteers in Police Services, Fire Corps, and Neighborhood Watch, as well as other non-government volunteer affiliates.Visit Nebraska Citizen Corps
